This past week's AoW was a choice between three different articles, the article I chose was
Making Headway in the Movement to Protect the World's Sharks by Elisabeth Rosenthal /New York Times

This is my reflection on the article.
"The ban on killing sharks is a great idea, if they're at risk of going extinct, they should be treated like any other endangered animal!
It's also cruel to just cut off they're fins (for a soup no less!!) and let them go! That's like starting to cut off people's arms for profit, their fins (no matter which one) are important parts of their body! If not, my point still remains valid.
Sharks need to be saved, they're an important balance to their environment, just like any other animal and it's Eco-system.
I view this as animal cruelty, like poaching, and I already don't like unnecessary hunting in general.
So yes, the ban on killing sharks is a great idea, it should be illegal to, just like with any other animal, and I hope it becomes entirely illegal. If it's endangered, it needs to be protected like any other species of anything."
I know my response is pretty short, but it took up a whole page in my notebook thanks to my pretty sloppy handwriting, I will try to work on that.
